We run and facilitate a collection of classes in Adelaide (and occasionally its surrounds). Classes are often the fastest way to learn, and ensure that you progress safely.

However classes are not all we do. The Parkour community has a strong presence outside of the formal class structure and there are many other ways to get involved with the community and learn Parkour.

Connect to the community

To connect with the Adelaide Parkour community, ask questions, see (and share) videos, and be informed of casual training meet-ups and general Parkour chatter, there is:

facebook.com/groups/AdelaideParkour/

For event updates, class reminders, news, information on training sessions at Point A (see below) and a better idea of the wider Australian (and global) Parkour community, there is:

facebook.com/SouthAustralianParkourAssociation/

Another page worth mentioning is the Point A Facebook page. Point A, as well as functioning as HQ for the SAPA is home to a number of non-parkour classes and disciplines.

There are little micro-communities who form part of the wider Adelaide scene but organise training sessions in their local areas. Those with a decent public presence to connect to are:

If you have a community like this within SA and wish to be added to this list, let us know!

Monthly Jam

On the first Saturday of every month we have the ‘Monthly Jam’ where everyone gets together to train and catch up. Point A offers FREE training for the day. People from ALL levels of experience are welcome and beginners are especially encouraged to come along, as it is a great way to get familiar with the friendly faces of Adelaide Parkour. Keep an eye on the Facebook page for reminders.

Learn Independently

There are many resources out there that you can use to learn Parkour on your own. Our best recommendation is the APA’s Parkourpedia resource. With information on the history of Parkour, its application, training methods, tutorials and other valuable information, it is a great place to start if you want to know more, or brush up on your Parkour knowledge.

SAPA helps run the warehouse training venue Point A in the Adelaide CBD. We host ‘Open Warehouse’ times where you can come in and train under supervision of an instructor.

Open Warehouse Times:

Monday            1:00pm – 5:30pm
Wednesday      1:00pm – 5:30pm
Friday               1:00pm – 5:30pm
Saturday          1:00pm – 5:30pm

This is a great way to meet people in the community in a casual indoor setting. We ask for a small donation in exchange for using the space to cover costs of rent and insurance etc. There is a donations box for this purpose (feel free to donate whatever you can afford, no matter how little). Or alternatively you can donate using our online donation system.

If money is an issue, there are other ways to contribute. Feel free to ask an instructor about this when you head in. For more information, head to the Point A Parkour page.

Help SAPA

We are always looking for volunteers to help us with all of our projects and the regular work we tackle. We happily accept work experience or placement students. Get in touch to have a chat.
